Course Introduction

Women’s leadership is increasingly recognized as a powerful driver of social innovation and sustainable change across communities, organizations, and institutions. This course on Women’s Leadership in Social Innovation and Change Management equips participants with practical leadership skills to design, lead, and scale transformative social impact initiatives.

In many contexts, women remain underrepresented in leadership roles within innovation ecosystems and change management processes, despite demonstrating strong capabilities in community mobilization and problem-solving. This course addresses these gaps by strengthening leadership confidence, strategic thinking, and innovation capacity among women leaders.

Social innovation requires leaders who can navigate complexity, manage resistance to change, and mobilize diverse stakeholders toward shared goals. Participants will explore how women leaders can effectively drive change processes that are inclusive, participatory, and grounded in real community needs.

The course also examines change management frameworks that support organizational transformation in both public and private sectors. Special focus is placed on how women leaders can use these frameworks to influence policy, organizational culture, and innovation systems for long-term impact.

Participants will engage with real-world case studies of women-led social enterprises, community initiatives, and institutional reforms that have successfully created measurable social impact. These examples will provide practical insights into leadership strategies that work in complex environments.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to lead social innovation processes, manage change effectively, and design impactful initiatives that strengthen inclusion, equity, and sustainable development outcomes.
