Course Introduction

The USAID Grant Management and Compliance Masterclass Training Course is an advanced professional development programme designed to equip development practitioners, NGOs, and implementing partners with in-depth knowledge of USAID funding rules, compliance systems, and grant management procedures. It focuses on strengthening technical and operational capacity for managing USAID-funded projects effectively and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

The course provides a detailed understanding of USAID financial management systems, including cost principles under 2 CFR 200, allowable and unallowable costs, and documentation standards. Participants will learn how to apply these regulations in day-to-day project implementation and financial decision-making processes.

It further strengthens competencies in proposal development, budgeting, and award management under USAID guidelines. The training ensures participants can develop competitive proposals that align with USAID strategic priorities, funding mechanisms, and performance expectations.

The programme also emphasizes compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and internal control systems required for USAID-funded projects. Participants will gain practical skills in managing procurement, sub-awards, reporting, and risk mitigation in line with donor regulations.

In addition, the course integrates advanced reporting and performance management approaches, including USAID’s Results Framework, indicators tracking, and data quality assurance systems. It highlights how to demonstrate impact and accountability in USAID-funded programs effectively.

Finally, the training prepares participants for complex grant environments by covering emerging issues such as localization in USAID programming, digital compliance systems, fraud prevention, and adaptive management approaches for high-risk operating contexts.
