Course Introduction
Synthetic media is rapidly changing the communication environment by making it possible to create highly realistic images, audio, video, text, and other digital material through artificial intelligence. These technologies can support legitimate creative, educational, accessibility, simulation, and communication applications, but they can also create serious challenges involving deception, misinformation, impersonation, reputation, public trust, and crisis response. The Synthetic Media Governance and Deepfake Response Training Course equips communication professionals with strategic frameworks for governing synthetic content and responding effectively when manipulated or fabricated media threatens organizational credibility.
