Course Introduction

The Sustainable Livelihoods Development Training Course is designed to equip practitioners with practical skills and knowledge to design, implement, and evaluate livelihood programs that enhance resilience, reduce poverty, and promote sustainable economic empowerment in diverse communities.

Sustainable livelihoods approaches focus on strengthening the assets, capabilities, and opportunities of individuals and communities to improve income generation while ensuring environmental protection and social equity. This course provides a structured pathway to achieving these goals.

Participants will explore livelihood frameworks, poverty reduction strategies, community development models, and income diversification approaches that support long-term socio-economic transformation and resilience building.

The training emphasizes participatory development, gender inclusion, climate resilience, and market-driven approaches that enable communities to sustainably manage resources while improving their living standards.

Special attention is given to rural development, agribusiness value chains, microenterprise development, and social protection systems that support vulnerable populations in achieving sustainable livelihoods.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, implement, and evaluate sustainable livelihood programs that integrate economic, social, and environmental dimensions effectively.

Training Approach

Training Venue 

The training will be held at our Upskill Training Centre. We also offer training for a group (at a discount of 10% to 50%) at requested location all over the world. The Onsite course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, buffet lunch, airport transfers, Upskill gift package, and guided tour.
