Course Introduction
Healthy soils are the foundation of sustainable agriculture, food security, environmental conservation, and climate resilience. Soil health directly influences crop productivity, nutrient availability, water retention, biodiversity, and ecosystem stability. However, increasing pressures from intensive cultivation, erosion, nutrient depletion, climate change, and unsustainable land-use practices have contributed to widespread soil degradation globally. This Soil Health Management and Fertility Improvement Training Course provides participants with the scientific knowledge and practical skills needed to restore, maintain, and enhance soil health while improving agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability.
The course offers a comprehensive understanding of soil properties, soil ecosystems, nutrient cycling processes, and the factors influencing soil fertility.
