Course Introduction

Social cohesion is a foundational element of stable, peaceful, and inclusive societies. This course examines how social development policies and programmes can be intentionally designed to strengthen trust, solidarity, and shared identity among diverse populations. In many contexts, rising inequality, political polarization, ethnic fragmentation, and economic exclusion continue to weaken social cohesion.
