Introduction
Effective records management is at the heart of organizational accountability and transparency for NGOs. As donor requirements become more stringent and partners demand higher levels of financial and programmatic integrity, NGOs must develop strong systems for capturing, organizing, storing, retrieving, and safeguarding records. This course equips participants with the knowledge and tools to create sustainable records management systems that strengthen institutional governance and credibility.
NGOs generate high volumes of data, financial reports, procurement documents, beneficiary lists, monitoring and evaluation data, project deliverables, contracts, correspondences, and compliance documents. Without structured records management, organizations face risks such as audit findings, compliance breaches, data loss, and operational inefficiencies. This training helps participants understand the full lifecycle of records and how to ensure they remain accurate, complete, secure, and accessible.
The digital transformation of the NGO sector has also changed how records are created, shared, and retained.
