Course Introduction
Volunteers are among the most valuable assets of nonprofit and development organizations, contributing time, expertise, energy, and commitment to advancing social change. Effective volunteer leadership goes beyond coordinating activities and focuses on inspiring individuals, building ownership, strengthening teamwork, and creating meaningful opportunities for service. NGOs increasingly depend on volunteers to extend program reach, improve community participation, and strengthen grassroots impact. This course provides participants with practical skills and strategies for leading volunteers effectively while fostering productive relationships between organizations and the communities they serve.
Community engagement is a critical component of sustainable development and successful humanitarian interventions.
