Course Introduction

Social impact investing has become a transformative approach in development finance, enabling NGOs to attract capital that generates both financial returns and measurable social outcomes. This course equips participants with practical tools to engage in impact investing ecosystems.

Development finance is evolving rapidly, requiring NGOs to diversify funding sources beyond traditional grants. Participants will learn how blended finance, social enterprise models, and impact investment vehicles are reshaping development funding landscapes.

Many NGOs struggle to access investment capital due to limited financial structuring skills and weak investment readiness. This training addresses these gaps by building capacity in financial modeling, impact measurement, and investor engagement.

Social impact investing bridges the gap between philanthropy and commercial investment by aligning capital with measurable social change. Participants will explore frameworks that connect financial sustainability with development impact.

Understanding investor expectations, risk management, and return structures is essential for NGOs seeking innovative financing solutions. This course provides practical insights into designing investment-ready programs and proposals.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to structure, manage, and evaluate social impact investments that strengthen organizational sustainability and development outcomes.
