Course Introduction
Digital ecosystems are rapidly reshaping how NGOs, development agencies, and social enterprises design, deliver, and scale their programs. This course provides a strategic and practical understanding of how technology can be leveraged to strengthen organizational effectiveness and development impact.
In today’s development landscape, digital transformation is no longer optional. Organizations must integrate data systems, digital platforms, and emerging technologies into their operational models to remain relevant, efficient, and responsive to stakeholder needs.
The course explores how digital ecosystems are formed through the interaction of platforms, people, data, and processes. It emphasizes how NGOs can position themselves within broader technology networks to enhance collaboration, visibility, and service delivery.
Participants will gain insight into digital strategy formulation, including how to align technology investments with organizational goals, donor expectations, and long-term sustainability objectives in complex development environments.
The training also highlights emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, mobile platforms, and cloud-based systems, focusing on their practical application in development programming and institutional strengthening.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to design and implement digital ecosystem strategies that improve organizational performance, strengthen accountability, and accelerate development impact.
