Introduction

Migration, forced displacement, and refugee crises are increasing globally, creating complex humanitarian and development challenges. Effective programming requires specialized skills to protect vulnerable populations and ensure durable solutions.

This course equips participants with knowledge of international frameworks, policies, and best practices in migration and refugee protection. Participants will learn to design, implement, and evaluate programs that address the needs of displaced populations.

Participants will explore approaches for safeguarding the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons, including access to basic services, protection from exploitation, and psychosocial support.

The course emphasizes practical program design, including community engagement, multi-sector coordination, and integration of protection principles into health, education, and livelihoods interventions.

Monitoring, evaluation, and accountability are critical for measuring the impact of displacement programs. Participants will gain skills in data collection, analysis, and adaptive programming to improve outcomes.

Through case studies, scenario-based exercises, and participatory learning, participants will develop the capacity to deliver context-specific, rights-based, and sustainable displacement programming that enhances protection and promotes durable solutions.
