Introduction
Material management is a process to organize, methodically arrange, and monitor processes connected to the flow of materials. This process plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and supply chain management.
Materials management involves the acquisition of raw materials, quantity, quality, and the support of smaller products. The raw material accounts for most of the final product and overall manufacturing cost. This process is the most significant part of the finished product; thus, it should be treated with extreme caution. Material costs have a considerable impact on both the rate of production and the amount of profit that a business generates. Materials management is in charge of formulating policies for material acquisition, taking into account factors such as quality, quantity, and cost.
Effective warehouse and store management is essential to the success of today’s organization. To accurately satisfy consumer requests, the product must move through the supply chain in a timely, efficient, and cost-controlled manner.
