Introduction

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) play a critical role in strengthening health systems, ensuring accountability, and promoting evidence-based decision-making for universal health coverage (UHC). This comprehensive training course equips participants with advanced knowledge and tools to design, implement, and evaluate health programs that contribute to resilient health systems and equitable service delivery.

As global health challenges such as pandemics, climate change, and demographic transitions evolve, there is an urgent need for robust M&E systems that capture data across multiple health domains. This course bridges that gap by focusing on innovative frameworks and analytical approaches that integrate health system performance with resilience and UHC goals.

Participants will explore advanced evaluation designs, data visualization, and real-time health monitoring systems that support timely interventions and policy adjustments. The training also delves into using digital health data, predictive analytics, and geospatial tools to enhance M&E outcomes and improve resource allocation.

Through hands-on sessions, case studies, and applied exercises, learners will build competencies in evaluating program impact, monitoring health indicators, and developing adaptive M&E frameworks aligned with SDG 3, Good Health and Well-being. The training emphasizes how evidence from M&E processes can drive continuous improvement and system responsiveness.

Furthermore, the course discusses how health systems can integrate M&E findings into national planning processes and donor reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with global health initiatives and accountability standards. Participants will gain insights into evaluating interventions that strengthen health system building blocks and foster resilience during crises.

Ultimately, this training empowers participants to design M&E systems that not only measure health outcomes but also enhance system adaptability, policy coherence, and sustainability in achieving universal health coverage.
