Course Introduction

International trade is the backbone of the global economy, connecting markets, businesses, and governments through complex legal and regulatory frameworks. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the legal principles that govern cross-border trade and commercial transactions in an increasingly interconnected world.

As globalization expands, businesses and institutions must navigate diverse legal systems, trade agreements, customs regulations, and compliance requirements. Failure to comply with international trade laws can result in penalties, disputes, and operational disruptions across jurisdictions.

This course equips participants with practical knowledge of international trade law, including WTO rules, bilateral and multilateral trade agreements, import-export regulations, and dispute resolution mechanisms. It emphasizes real-world application in compliance management.

Participants will explore how international legal frameworks influence supply chains, cross-border investments, taxation, and commercial contracts. The training bridges legal theory with practical compliance strategies used in global business operations.

The course also addresses emerging challenges such as digital trade regulation, sanctions compliance, anti-dumping rules, and ESG-related trade restrictions that are reshaping international commerce.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to interpret and apply international trade laws effectively, manage cross-border compliance risks, and support organizations in global trade operations.
