Course Introduction
International agricultural trade has become increasingly governed by stringent standards, regulations, and certification requirements that ensure food safety, quality assurance, sustainability, and traceability across global supply chains. Exporting agricultural products today requires more than production capacity; it demands strict compliance with internationally recognized standards such as GlobalGAP, ISO certifications, HACCP systems, organic certification frameworks, and phytosanitary regulations. This course is designed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to navigate complex certification systems and successfully access high-value international markets.
Global demand for safe, high-quality, and sustainably produced agricultural commodities continues to rise as consumers, importers, and regulatory authorities place greater emphasis on product integrity and production transparency. Export markets are becoming more competitive, and only producers and organizations that meet strict certification requirements are able to sustain long-term market access. Understanding certification processes, audit requirements, and compliance mechanisms is therefore essential for agribusinesses seeking to expand internationally.
