Course Introduction

The Integrated Energy-Water-Food Nexus Planning Course is designed to address the increasingly complex interdependencies between three critical systems that underpin global sustainability and development. As populations grow, urbanization accelerates, and climate change intensifies, the competition for water, energy, and food resources becomes more pronounced. This course equips professionals with the analytical tools and strategic frameworks required to manage these interconnected systems in a coordinated and sustainable manner that maximizes efficiency and resilience.

Across the world, policy makers and development practitioners are recognizing that traditional sector-by-sector planning approaches are no longer sufficient.
