Course Introduction
Modern governments increasingly depend on interconnected digital platforms to deliver services, exchange information, manage programmes, support decision-making, and coordinate activities across institutions. Yet fragmented systems, incompatible technologies, duplicated databases, inconsistent standards, and disconnected workflows can prevent agencies from realizing the full value of digital transformation. The Integrated Digital Government Platforms and Interoperability Training Course provides public-sector professionals with advanced knowledge and practical strategies for designing, governing, integrating, and managing interoperable digital government ecosystems.
The course examines interoperability as a strategic institutional capability rather than simply a technical integration exercise. Participants will explore organizational, legal, semantic, technical, data, process, and infrastructure interoperability and understand how these dimensions must work together to enable seamless government operations. A major focus is placed on digital government platform architecture. The programme also addresses the governance challenges associated with interconnected government systems. Particular attention is given to overcoming institutional silos and creating governance models that encourage collaboration while clearly defining responsibilities and accountability.
Security, privacy, trust, and resilience are integrated throughout the course.
