Course Introduction

Climate change is one of the most urgent global challenges, with local communities experiencing its impacts most directly through floods, droughts, food insecurity, displacement, and ecosystem degradation. This course on Inclusive Climate Adaptation Planning for Local Communities equips participants with practical tools to design and implement adaptation strategies that are locally driven, inclusive, and sustainable.

Traditional climate adaptation approaches have often been top-down, excluding the voices of vulnerable populations who are most affected by climate risks.
