Course Introduction

Green investment negotiation and deal structuring are critical competencies in mobilizing capital for climate action, sustainable infrastructure, and low-carbon economic transformation. This course provides a deep and practical understanding of how green financial transactions are negotiated, structured, and executed across diverse markets and institutional settings.

The program explores the full lifecycle of green investment deals, from origination and valuation through negotiation, structuring, and closure. Participants will learn how environmental, financial, and legal considerations intersect in designing investment agreements that meet both sustainability objectives and investor expectations.

A strong emphasis is placed on real-world negotiation strategies used in climate finance, including risk allocation, return optimization, blended finance structuring, and stakeholder alignment. The course highlights how to balance public policy goals with private sector investment requirements.

Participants will gain insight into complex deal structures such as public-private partnerships, green bonds, climate funds, and impact investment vehicles. The program also examines contractual frameworks that govern environmental performance, reporting obligations, and financial returns.

The course further addresses regulatory, legal, and institutional frameworks that influence green investment negotiations. It equips participants with tools to navigate cross-border transactions, mitigate investment risks, and structure bankable climate-aligned projects.

By the end of the program, participants will be capable of leading high-value green investment negotiations and designing robust deal structures that accelerate sustainable development and climate finance mobilization.
