Course Introduction
Digital government services are transforming how citizens, businesses, communities, and public institutions interact with government. Effective digital service delivery can reduce administrative burdens, shorten processing times, improve accessibility, increase transparency, and provide more convenient access to public services. This course provides a practical framework for designing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving government digital services around user needs, institutional objectives, service standards, and measurable public outcomes.
Successful digital services require more than putting existing forms and procedures online. Government institutions must understand user needs, simplify administrative processes, integrate information systems, establish clear service journeys, and ensure that digital channels are reliable, accessible, secure, and easy to use. Participants will learn how to assess current services, identify user pain points, redesign service journeys, develop digital service requirements, and establish user-centered delivery models.
The programme examines the complete digital-service lifecycle, from service discovery and user research through service design, prototyping, development, testing, launch, adoption, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
