Introduction

Climate change poses significant challenges to sustainable development, disproportionately affecting women and marginalized communities. The Gender-Responsive Climate Finance and Green Economy Training Course equips participants with knowledge and practical tools to integrate gender perspectives into climate finance, green economy initiatives, and sustainable development programs.

The course explores how gender inequalities influence access to climate finance, green technologies, and participation in environmental decision-making. Participants will learn strategies to address these gaps, ensuring equitable opportunities for all stakeholders.

Participants will gain competencies in climate finance mechanisms, green economy policy design, project development, and sustainable investment. Emphasis is placed on gender-sensitive planning, resource mobilization, and inclusive decision-making processes.

Emerging topics such as climate-smart technologies, renewable energy financing, carbon markets, digital solutions for sustainability, and social impact measurement are incorporated. Participants will explore innovative strategies to foster gender-inclusive green growth.

The course also examines international frameworks, including the Paris Agreement, UNFCCC guidelines, SDGs, and regional climate finance policies. Participants will learn to align national and organizational programs with global standards for gender equality and climate action.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to design, implement, and monitor gender-responsive climate finance programs, influence green economy policies, leverage sustainable investments, and contribute to resilient, inclusive, and low-carbon development pathways.
