Introduction

Gender equality is a critical driver of inclusive economic growth and sustainable development. The Gender, Labour Markets, and Economic Policy Reform Training Course equips participants with knowledge and tools to integrate gender perspectives into labor policies and economic reforms.

The training emphasizes the interplay between gender, employment, wages, and social protection systems. Participants will explore structural barriers that limit women’s participation in labor markets, including wage gaps, occupational segregation, and unequal access to opportunities.

Participants will gain insights into the design and implementation of economic policies that promote gender equity, enhance labor productivity, and support inclusive economic development. The course covers policy instruments, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.

The program provides practical skills for analyzing labor market data, evaluating policy impacts, and designing reforms that address gender disparities. Participants will learn to conduct gender-sensitive economic assessments and apply evidence-based policy recommendations.

Emerging topics such as digital labor markets, the future of work, informal sector inclusion, and green economy transitions are explored from a gender perspective. The course equips participants to respond to contemporary economic challenges and opportunities.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to influence economic policy, design inclusive labor market interventions, and advocate for reforms that advance gender equality and equitable economic growth.
