Introduction

Integrating gender perspectives into Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems ensures programs are equitable, inclusive, and impactful. The Gender in MEL Systems Training Course equips participants with practical tools and strategies to embed gender responsiveness into MEL frameworks.

The course explores principles, frameworks, and methodologies for gender-sensitive data collection, analysis, and reporting. Participants will gain skills to design MEL systems that accurately capture gender outcomes and inform policy and programmatic decisions.

Participants will learn how to assess gender equity, inclusion, and empowerment across projects. Emphasis is placed on aligning MEL practices with global standards, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and gender-focused evaluation guidelines.

Emerging topics such as digital data collection, participatory evaluation approaches, real-time monitoring tools, and integrating intersectionality in MEL are incorporated. Participants will explore practical techniques for applying gender lenses in various sectors.
