Introduction

Gender equality, human rights, and social accountability are interconnected pillars essential for sustainable development and inclusive governance. This course equips participants with knowledge and practical tools to integrate these principles into programs, policies, and organizational practices.

The training emphasizes the importance of gender-responsive approaches in protecting and promoting human rights. Participants will explore how systemic inequalities and power dynamics impact access to rights, services, and decision-making processes in communities and institutions.

Participants will gain insights into legal frameworks, international conventions, and national policies on gender equality and human rights. The course also highlights mechanisms for accountability, transparency, and citizen engagement to promote equitable and just outcomes.

The program focuses on practical skills for designing, implementing, and monitoring interventions that enhance social accountability. Participants will learn to apply tools such as participatory governance, citizen feedback mechanisms, and human rights impact assessments.

Emerging issues such as digital rights, climate justice, social protection, and intersectionality are examined to ensure participants are prepared to address contemporary challenges in governance, policy, and development programs.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to foster gender-sensitive and rights-based approaches, strengthen accountability systems, and engage communities and stakeholders in promoting inclusive development and social justice.
