Course Introduction

Gender Equity and Social Innovation in Public Service Delivery is a transformative course designed to strengthen the capacity of institutions and professionals to design, implement, and evaluate inclusive public services. It focuses on ensuring that gender equity is embedded within all stages of public service planning and delivery systems.

The program explores how systemic inequalities in governance, resource allocation, and institutional design often result in unequal access to public services for women, girls, and marginalized groups. Participants will critically analyze these gaps and learn strategies to address them through innovation and policy reform.

A strong emphasis is placed on social innovation approaches that reimagine how public services are delivered. This includes human-centered design, participatory governance, and co-creation models that actively involve communities in shaping responsive and equitable services.

Participants will examine the role of data, digital transformation, and evidence-based decision-making in improving gender-responsive service delivery. The course highlights how innovation can be leveraged to enhance accountability, transparency, and inclusiveness in public systems.

The training also integrates global best practices and case studies demonstrating successful gender-responsive public service reforms. Participants will gain practical tools for designing interventions that reduce inequality and improve service accessibility for all citizens.

Ultimately, the course equips professionals to become change agents who can drive gender equity and social innovation within public institutions, ensuring fair, efficient, and inclusive service delivery systems.
