Course Introduction

Gender Equity and Inclusive Institutional Capacity Development Course is designed to strengthen the ability of institutions, organizations, and development practitioners to design, implement, and sustain systems that promote gender equality and inclusive institutional performance across all sectors.

The course provides a deep understanding of how institutional structures, policies, and practices can either reinforce or reduce gender inequalities, and how capacity development strategies can transform institutions into more equitable and inclusive systems.

A core focus of the training is enhancing institutional capacity to integrate gender equity into planning, budgeting, human resource management, leadership, and service delivery processes for improved organizational effectiveness.

The course also explores barriers to gender inclusion such as discriminatory norms, unequal access to opportunities, weak accountability systems, and institutional resistance to change, and how these challenges can be addressed effectively.

Participants will engage in practical case studies, institutional diagnostics, and applied learning exercises that demonstrate how inclusive capacity development leads to stronger governance and improved development outcomes.

Ultimately, the course equips participants with the tools and strategies to build inclusive institutions that advance gender equity, strengthen organizational capacity, and support sustainable and equitable development.
