Course Introduction

Gender-based violence (GBV) remains one of the most pressing human rights and public health challenges affecting communities globally, requiring structured, sensitive, and well-managed programmatic responses from NGOs and development actors.

This course equips participants with practical skills and technical knowledge to design, implement, and manage effective GBV prevention and response programmes in diverse humanitarian and development settings.

Participants will gain a strong understanding of survivor-centered approaches, ensuring that all programme interventions prioritize dignity, safety, confidentiality, and empowerment of affected individuals and communities.

The training explores coordination mechanisms among stakeholders including NGOs, government agencies, healthcare providers, and justice systems to ensure integrated GBV service delivery.

It also addresses monitoring, reporting, and evaluation frameworks for GBV programmes, ensuring accountability, data protection, and ethical management of sensitive information.
