Introduction

Gender equality is a key driver of sustainable development in Africa’s emerging economies. The Gender and Sustainable Development Training Course equips participants with strategies, knowledge, and tools to integrate gender perspectives into economic, social, and environmental development initiatives.

The course examines systemic barriers that limit women’s participation in economic growth, innovation, and decision-making. Participants will explore policies, programs, and institutional reforms that promote inclusive development outcomes.

Participants will gain practical skills to design, implement, and evaluate gender-responsive sustainable development programs. Emphasis is placed on linking gender equality with economic empowerment, climate resilience, and social inclusion.

Emerging topics such as green economy strategies, climate-smart initiatives, digital transformation, and innovative financing mechanisms are integrated into the curriculum. Participants will learn to develop interventions that address contemporary development challenges.
