Introduction

Environmental justice is a critical dimension of sustainable development, linking social equity, gender, and ecological stewardship. The Gender and Environmental Justice for Sustainable Development Training Course equips participants with knowledge and practical tools to address gendered impacts of environmental challenges.

The course examines how environmental degradation, climate change, and resource scarcity disproportionately affect women and marginalized communities. Participants will explore strategies to integrate gender perspectives into environmental policies, programs, and advocacy initiatives.

Participants will gain insights into the intersection of gender, social justice, and environmental governance, learning to design inclusive policies and interventions that promote sustainable resource management and equitable participation in environmental decision-making.

Emerging topics such as climate adaptation, sustainable energy, biodiversity conservation, and green innovation are explored. The course emphasizes evidence-based approaches, participatory methods, and community-centered strategies to promote environmental sustainability.

The program also covers international and regional frameworks, including climate conventions, human rights agreements, and sustainable development goals, enabling participants to align initiatives with global standards and best practices.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to advocate for gender-responsive environmental policies, implement sustainable programs, engage communities, and contribute to equitable and inclusive solutions that advance environmental justice and sustainable development.
