Course Introduction

The Fraud Interviewing and Interrogation Techniques Course is designed to equip professionals with advanced communication, behavioral analysis, and investigative questioning skills required to detect deception and uncover fraudulent activities. The program focuses on structured interviewing methods used in fraud investigations, enabling participants to extract accurate information while maintaining legal and ethical standards throughout the process.

In fraud investigations, obtaining reliable information from suspects, witnesses, and employees is critical to resolving cases effectively. This course provides systematic approaches to planning and conducting interviews that reveal inconsistencies, behavioral cues, and concealed facts. Participants will learn how strategic questioning can expose fraud schemes and support evidence-based decision-making in investigations.

The training emphasizes psychological principles of deception detection, including verbal and non-verbal indicators of dishonesty. Learners will explore how body language, speech patterns, and behavioral responses can be analyzed to identify truthfulness or deception. Practical exercises simulate real-world fraud interview scenarios to enhance investigative confidence and accuracy.

A strong focus is placed on structured interrogation techniques used in fraud cases, including cognitive interviewing, information-gathering strategies, and admission-seeking approaches. Participants will understand how to control interview environments, build rapport, and apply ethical pressure techniques to obtain critical disclosures without violating legal boundaries.

The course also integrates legal and ethical frameworks governing interviews and interrogations in fraud investigations. Participants will learn how to ensure compliance with human rights standards, organizational policies, and judicial requirements. This ensures that all interview processes are legally defensible and professionally conducted.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to conduct effective fraud interviews and interrogations, analyze responses, and extract actionable intelligence. The program builds strong communication, psychological, and investigative skills essential for fraud investigators, auditors, law enforcement officers, and compliance professionals.
