Course Introduction

The Supply Chain Data Analytics and Operational Intelligence Training Course provides a comprehensive framework for professionals seeking to use data to improve supply chain visibility, efficiency, resilience, and operational performance. The course develops practical capabilities in collecting, managing, analysing, visualizing, and interpreting supply chain data to support better planning, execution, monitoring, and strategic decision-making.

Modern supply chains generate extensive data across procurement, suppliers, inventory, warehousing, transportation, customer orders, production, distribution, and logistics operations. This course equips participants with methods for integrating these diverse datasets, improving data quality, identifying operational patterns, and transforming fragmented information into reliable intelligence that can support timely and evidence-based supply chain decisions.

Participants will explore analytical approaches for understanding demand patterns, inventory levels, supplier performance, logistics costs, transportation efficiency, order fulfilment, warehouse productivity, lead times, and service levels. The training demonstrates how descriptive and diagnostic analytics can reveal operational bottlenecks, cost drivers, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement across interconnected supply chain processes.

The course also examines forecasting, predictive analytics, scenario analysis, and performance modelling for supply chain planning. Participants will learn how analytical techniques can support demand forecasting, inventory optimization, capacity planning, supplier risk monitoring, transportation planning, and disruption preparedness. These capabilities enable organizations to respond more effectively to changing market conditions, customer requirements, resource constraints, and operational risks.

Strong emphasis is placed on supply chain dashboards, visualization, and operational intelligence. Participants will learn how to develop meaningful key performance indicators, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports that communicate supply chain conditions clearly to operational teams, managers, executives, and other stakeholders. The training also addresses data governance, quality assurance, integration, automation, and responsible use of operational information.

By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to convert supply chain data into actionable operational intelligence. They will be able to identify performance gaps, monitor critical processes, improve planning and coordination, support cost and service optimization, strengthen resilience, and communicate data-driven recommendations that contribute to more responsive and efficient supply chain operations.
