Course Introduction
The Fact-Checking and Verification for Media Professionals Training Course equips journalists, editors, researchers, broadcasters, digital media practitioners, communication professionals, and newsroom teams with practical methods for determining whether information, claims, images, videos, documents, statistics, and online narratives are accurate and reliable. The course emphasizes systematic verification, source evaluation, evidence gathering, digital investigation, misinformation detection, and editorial judgment in fast-moving media environments.
Modern media professionals encounter an unprecedented volume of information from social media, messaging platforms, websites, official institutions, eyewitnesses, experts, automated systems, and user-generated content.
