Course Introduction
Public administration and governance systems globally are undergoing rapid transformation driven by demands for transparency, accountability, equity, and inclusive leadership. Women in executive leadership roles are increasingly central to shaping policies, institutional reforms, and governance frameworks that respond to complex societal needs. This program is designed to strengthen their strategic leadership capacity at the highest levels of public service.
Women leaders in public administration face unique structural, institutional, and cultural challenges that often limit their influence in decision-making spaces. These challenges include gender bias, underrepresentation in senior positions, and systemic barriers to career progression. This program equips participants with the tools to navigate and dismantle these barriers while strengthening their leadership authority and institutional impact.
The course emphasizes advanced governance competencies required for executive leadership in public institutions, including policy formulation, strategic planning, public financial management, and performance accountability systems. Participants will learn how to align leadership practices with national development priorities and global governance standards.
A core focus of this program is transformational leadership, enabling women executives to lead institutional reform processes that promote efficiency, equity, and service delivery excellence. The curriculum highlights how leadership identity, influence, and negotiation power can be leveraged to drive sustainable change in complex bureaucratic environments.
The program also explores the intersection of gender, governance, and public sector innovation. It equips participants to champion inclusive governance systems that improve representation, strengthen citizen engagement, and enhance public trust in government institutions through ethical and responsive leadership.
Ultimately, this executive program prepares women leaders to operate confidently at the highest levels of public administration. It builds strategic thinking, policy influence, and governance leadership capabilities needed to transform institutions and shape national and global development agendas
