Course Introduction

The Executive Program on Women’s Leadership in Global Development and Partnerships provides a high-level, strategic exploration of how women leaders shape, influence, and transform global development agendas through inclusive partnerships. The course equips participants with advanced leadership competencies, policy insight, and collaborative strategies needed to operate effectively in complex international development ecosystems. It emphasizes the role of women as key drivers of sustainable development, global equity, and institutional innovation.

The program examines the evolving landscape of global development cooperation, focusing on how multilateral institutions, donor agencies, governments, and civil society organizations collaborate to address global challenges. Participants critically analyze power asymmetries within development partnerships and explore strategies for ensuring that women’s leadership is central to decision-making, resource allocation, and program design in global systems.

A strong emphasis is placed on leadership in multi-stakeholder environments, where negotiation, diplomacy, and coalition-building are essential competencies. Participants explore how women leaders can effectively navigate global governance structures, influence policy processes, and build strategic alliances across sectors and regions. The course highlights leadership models that prioritize equity, inclusion, and transformational change.

The program also focuses on partnership development and management within global development frameworks. Participants gain practical tools for designing, implementing, and sustaining effective partnerships between governments, international organizations, private sector actors, and grassroots institutions. Emphasis is placed on accountability, mutual benefit, and shared ownership in development cooperation.

In addition, the course integrates contemporary global challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, humanitarian crises, and economic inequality. Participants explore how women leaders can shape responsive and adaptive development partnerships that address these challenges while advancing inclusive and sustainable outcomes. The course prepares leaders to operate confidently in dynamic and uncertain global environments.

Ultimately, the program builds a new generation of women leaders equipped to influence global development systems, strengthen cross-border partnerships, and drive transformative change. Graduates will be able to lead complex initiatives, shape international policy dialogues, and ensure that development partnerships are inclusive, equitable, and impact-driven.
