Course Introduction

Environmental Restoration and Wetland Conservation Management Course provides a comprehensive understanding of wetland ecosystems, their ecological importance, and the methods required for their protection and restoration. The course emphasizes sustainable management practices that support biodiversity conservation and ecosystem resilience.

Wetlands are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth, playing a vital role in water purification, flood control, carbon storage, and habitat provision. This course explores wetland functions, types, and ecological significance, enabling participants to understand their contribution to environmental stability and human well-being.

A core focus of the training is wetland degradation and the factors contributing to ecosystem loss, including urbanization, agriculture, pollution, and climate change. Participants will analyze the impacts of human activities on wetland ecosystems and learn strategies to mitigate environmental damage effectively.

The program also introduces restoration ecology principles, including habitat reconstruction, hydrological restoration, and vegetation recovery techniques. Participants will gain practical knowledge on how to restore degraded wetlands and improve ecological functionality through science-based interventions.

The course further emphasizes conservation planning and policy frameworks that support wetland protection at local, national, and global levels. Participants will explore legal instruments, governance structures, and community-based conservation approaches essential for long-term sustainability.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to design, implement, and manage wetland restoration and conservation projects that enhance ecosystem health, biodiversity, and environmental resilience.

Duration
5 Days
