Course Introduction

Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources Law Course is designed to provide advanced legal, regulatory, and commercial expertise in managing energy systems, infrastructure projects, and natural resource development across national and international frameworks. It equips professionals with the knowledge required to navigate complex legal regimes governing extraction, production, distribution, and sustainability of critical resources.

The course explores legal structures governing oil, gas, mining, electricity, water, and large-scale infrastructure projects, including regulatory licensing, concession agreements, and public-private partnerships. Participants will gain a strong understanding of how legal frameworks shape investment, development, and governance in resource-rich and infrastructure-dependent economies.

It also emphasizes contract management and negotiation in energy and infrastructure projects, including production sharing agreements, power purchase agreements, and construction contracts. Learners will develop practical skills in structuring, reviewing, and enforcing complex agreements that govern multi-billion-dollar projects in highly regulated environments.

Special focus is given to regulatory compliance, environmental law, and sustainability requirements in energy and natural resource exploitation. The course integrates ESG considerations, climate change obligations, and environmental impact assessment frameworks that are increasingly shaping global energy governance and infrastructure development.

Participants will also examine dispute resolution mechanisms in energy and infrastructure sectors, including arbitration of investment disputes, concession disagreements, and cross-border project conflicts. The program strengthens analytical, legal, and negotiation skills required to manage high-value infrastructure and resource-based transactions effectively.

The training concludes with emerging trends such as renewable energy transition law, carbon markets, green infrastructure financing, and digitalization of energy systems. It prepares professionals to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving global energy and infrastructure legal landscape.
