Course Introduction

Employment and labour law compliance is a critical area for ensuring fair, safe, and legally compliant workplace environments. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of employment regulations, workers’ rights, employer obligations, and dispute resolution mechanisms within modern labour markets.

In today’s dynamic labour environment, organizations face increasing legal scrutiny regarding contracts of employment, workplace discrimination, occupational safety, wages, benefits, and termination procedures. Non-compliance can lead to costly litigation, reputational damage, and operational disruption.

This course explores the key principles of labour law, including statutory protections for employees, collective bargaining frameworks, industrial relations systems, and regulatory compliance requirements that govern employer-employee relationships.

Participants will also examine employment contract structures, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling systems, and legal standards for fair treatment in the workplace, ensuring alignment with national and international labour standards.

Special attention is given to workplace equality, anti-discrimination laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and evolving trends such as remote work governance and gig economy labour protections.

By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical legal knowledge to manage workforce compliance, reduce employment-related risks, and ensure lawful and ethical human resource practices.
