Course Introduction

Electronic Waste Collection and Processing Training Course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to safely collect, transport, sort, process, recycle, and manage electronic waste in accordance with international environmental standards and national regulations. The course explores the entire electronic waste management value chain, including waste identification, material recovery, hazardous substance management, recycling technologies, occupational health and safety, and environmental compliance. Participants will gain practical expertise in establishing sustainable e-waste collection and processing systems that maximize resource recovery while minimizing environmental and public health risks.

The rapid advancement of technology, shorter product life cycles, and increasing consumption of electronic devices have significantly increased global electronic waste generation. Improper disposal of computers, mobile phones, televisions, batteries, and other electronic equipment releases hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, brominated flame retardants, and other toxic materials into the environment. This course examines internationally recognized e-waste management principles, circular economy strategies, extended producer responsibility (EPR) frameworks, and environmentally sound recycling practices that support sustainable resource management and environmental protection.
