Education in Emergencies (EiE) Program Development Training Course

Introduction

Access to quality education is often disrupted in emergencies caused by conflict, disasters, or displacement. NGOs and development practitioners need specialized skills to design and implement education programs that ensure continuity, equity, and protection for affected children and youth.

This course equips participants with knowledge of international frameworks, standards, and best practices in Education in Emergencies (EiE). Participants learn how to plan, manage, and evaluate education interventions that respond effectively to crisis contexts.

The course emphasizes holistic program development, including curriculum adaptation, psychosocial support, teacher training, and inclusive education approaches that address the needs of vulnerable and marginalized children.

Participants will gain practical skills in establishing safe learning environments, integrating child protection measures, and ensuring access to education for girls, children with disabilities, and other at-risk groups.
