Course Introduction

Digital inclusion has become a critical driver of social and economic empowerment in the modern world, yet women and girls continue to face significant barriers in accessing and effectively using digital technologies. This course explores strategies for bridging the digital divide and ensuring equitable participation in the digital economy.

Across many regions, unequal access to digital tools, limited digital literacy, affordability constraints, and cultural barriers continue to restrict women’s participation in technology-driven opportunities. This course addresses these systemic challenges and provides practical solutions for inclusive digital transformation.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how digital technologies can be leveraged to enhance women’s empowerment in education, entrepreneurship, governance, healthcare, and financial inclusion. The course emphasizes practical skills development and policy-level interventions.

The training also focuses on digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, and online protection mechanisms for women and girls, ensuring that digital inclusion is not only about access but also about safe and meaningful engagement in digital spaces.
