Course Introduction
Digital government strategy provides the strategic direction through which public institutions use technology, data, digital platforms, and organizational transformation to improve government operations and public services. A successful strategy must move beyond technology acquisition and establish a coherent vision connecting policy priorities, institutional capabilities, citizen needs, digital infrastructure, workforce development, governance, investment, and measurable outcomes. This course provides a practical framework for developing and implementing comprehensive digital government strategies.
Government digital transformation frequently involves multiple ministries, departments, agencies, local authorities, public institutions, technology providers, development partners, and other stakeholders. Without strategic coordination, institutions may develop disconnected platforms, duplicate investments, create incompatible systems, and establish inconsistent digital services.
