Course Introduction

Digital government projects are increasingly central to public-sector modernization, enabling institutions to introduce online services, integrated platforms, automated processes, digital identity, data systems, cloud infrastructure, and technology-enabled administrative reforms. Managing these projects successfully requires more than conventional project-management techniques because government technology initiatives involve complex stakeholders, public accountability, regulatory requirements, legacy systems, procurement constraints, cybersecurity risks, and changing user expectations. This course provides a practical framework for planning, governing, delivering, and evaluating digital government projects.

Digital projects frequently involve multiple ministries, departments, agencies, technology suppliers, consultants, development partners, service providers, and end users.
