Day 2: Governance and Compliance Frameworks

• Components of an effective data governance program
• Compliance policies and procedures: privacy policies, consent management
• Roles and responsibilities: DPO, internal auditors, senior management
• Developing and maintaining a Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
• Implementing a governance structure for ongoing compliance

Day 3: Rights, Risks, and Accountability

• Data subject rights: access, correction, erasure, portability, objection
• Handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
• Data breach notification obligations and response mechanisms
• DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments) and privacy risk assessments
• Compliance reporting, documentation, and evidence-based accountability

Day 4: Cross-Border Data Transfers and Emerging Technologies

• International data transfer mechanisms: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs), adequacy decisions
