Course Introduction

Community-based peacebuilding has become an essential approach in addressing instability, preventing violent conflict, and fostering long-term social cohesion. This course provides an in-depth foundation for understanding the principles, structures, and dynamics that underpin local peace systems, empowering participants with practical tools to support communities as they rebuild relationships, strengthen resilience, and develop sustainable pathways toward peace. This training explores how local actors play a central role in peace processes, emphasizing the power of community-driven initiatives and the significance of localized leadership.
