Introduction

Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) is critical for ensuring safe, organized, and effective humanitarian response in displaced and emergency-affected populations. This course equips participants with essential skills to coordinate and manage camps efficiently while adhering to humanitarian standards.

Participants will explore the principles of CCCM, including site planning, infrastructure, service delivery, and population management. The course emphasizes practical approaches to organize camps that are safe, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of diverse populations.

Coordination among humanitarian actors, local authorities, and affected communities is key to successful camp operations. Participants will learn strategies for effective stakeholder engagement, inter-agency collaboration, and leadership within complex camp environments.

The course highlights protection, safeguarding, and accountability in camp settings. Learners will acquire skills to identify and mitigate risks, address vulnerabilities, and implement participatory approaches to empower residents and ensure their rights are upheld.

Monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making are central to optimizing camp operations. Participants will gain practical tools to assess service delivery, track population movements, and improve operational planning for enhanced outcomes.

Through case studies, simulations, and exercises, participants will develop actionable competencies to manage camp operations efficiently, coordinate multi-stakeholder responses, and ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of displaced populations.
