Course Introduction

Aquatic Ecosystems Assessment and Environmental Monitoring Training is designed to provide participants with advanced scientific and technical skills for assessing, monitoring, and managing freshwater, marine, and coastal ecosystems under changing environmental conditions.
The course offers a comprehensive understanding of aquatic ecosystem structure, biodiversity, ecological interactions, and the physical and chemical processes that influence water quality and ecosystem health.
Participants will gain practical skills in environmental sampling, biological assessment, water quality analysis, and ecosystem monitoring using modern scientific tools and methodologies.
A strong emphasis is placed on ecological indicators, habitat assessment, pollution impacts, and the use of environmental monitoring systems for sustainable aquatic resource management.
The program integrates modern approaches such as remote sensing, GIS-based aquatic mapping, bioassessment techniques, and real-time environmental monitoring technologies.
Ultimately, the course prepares professionals to assess aquatic ecosystems effectively and support sustainable conservation, restoration, and environmental protection initiatives.
