Course Introduction
Applied ethics and human rights management have become increasingly important in today's governance, business, humanitarian, and development environments. Organizations are expected not only to comply with legal requirements but also to uphold human dignity, fairness, equality, and social justice in their policies, operations, and decision-making processes. As stakeholders demand greater accountability and responsible conduct, institutions must strengthen their capacity to integrate ethical principles and human rights considerations into organizational management. This course provides participants with practical knowledge and tools for addressing ethical challenges while promoting and protecting human rights.
Human rights principles influence a wide range of organizational activities, including employment practices, service delivery, community engagement, public administration, corporate governance, security management, procurement, and development programming. Failure to consider human rights impacts can expose organizations to legal risks, reputational damage, stakeholder opposition, and operational challenges.
