Course Introduction

Women’s leadership in social innovation and entrepreneurship is a powerful driver of inclusive economic growth, sustainable development, and community transformation. Across global contexts, women are increasingly shaping innovative solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges.

This Advanced Women’s Leadership in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program is designed to equip women leaders, entrepreneurs, and development practitioners with advanced skills to create, scale, and sustain impactful social enterprises that address pressing societal needs.

Participants will explore how social innovation ecosystems function, including the role of finance, policy, technology, and community networks in enabling women-led enterprises. The program emphasizes practical strategies for building sustainable and scalable ventures.

A key focus is placed on leadership development, helping women strengthen their strategic thinking, negotiation skills, resource mobilization capacity, and ability to lead teams in complex and competitive environments.

The course also examines barriers women face in entrepreneurship, including access to finance, markets, mentorship, and institutional support systems, while providing tools to overcome these challenges through innovation and collaboration.
