Course Introduction

Global trade systems and economic diplomacy are undergoing rapid transformation driven by globalization, digitalization, geopolitical shifts, and evolving development agendas. Women leaders are increasingly positioned as key actors in shaping inclusive trade policies, negotiating international partnerships, and advancing equitable economic growth across regions.

This program is designed to equip women leaders with advanced competencies in economic diplomacy, trade negotiations, and international market engagement. It focuses on strengthening strategic leadership capacity to navigate complex global trade environments and influence policy decisions at national, regional, and international levels.

Participants will explore how economic diplomacy intersects with gender equity, development finance, and global trade governance. The course emphasizes practical skills in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border collaboration, enabling women leaders to effectively represent institutional and national interests in global forums.

A key focus of the training is enhancing understanding of international trade systems, including WTO frameworks, regional trade agreements, and bilateral economic partnerships. Participants will learn how to leverage these systems to create opportunities for inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.

The program also strengthens leadership capacity in public-private partnerships, export development strategies, and investment facilitation. It prepares participants to become influential actors in shaping trade ecosystems that are inclusive, competitive, and innovation-driven.

Ultimately, this course builds a new generation of women leaders who can confidently engage in economic diplomacy, drive trade development initiatives, and influence global economic governance structures for more equitable outcomes
