Course Introduction
Women-led cooperatives and community enterprises are increasingly recognized as powerful engines of inclusive economic growth, social transformation, and local resilience. This program equips women leaders with advanced skills to design, manage, and scale cooperative and community-based enterprises effectively.
The course explores how cooperative governance models can be strengthened to promote collective ownership, equitable decision-making, and sustainable enterprise development that benefits entire communities, particularly marginalized and underserved populations.
Participants will engage with practical frameworks for building strong cooperative institutions, including financial management, enterprise planning, leadership development, and participatory governance systems that enhance transparency and accountability.
A strong emphasis is placed on women’s leadership development within cooperative structures, focusing on empowerment, negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead inclusive and resilient community enterprises.
The program also integrates innovation and market access strategies, enabling women-led enterprises to compete effectively in local, regional, and global markets while maintaining their social impact mission.
